Join McGill’s Black Medical Students’ Association (BMSA), in partnership with the Sickle Cell Anemia Association of Quebec and the Quebec Black Medical Association, for an engaging conference on sickle cell anemia. This event will bring together an experienced hematologist, community and professional organizations as well as a patient advocate to explore the clinical, social, and systemic dimensions of sickle cell disease, while emphasizing the importance of equitable and culturally informed care.
This event is an amazing opportunity to network with a physician, community members and fellow students who are passionate about advocacy, patient care, and health equity. Connect with experts, ask questions, and gain insights that go beyond the surface.
Organizations such as Héma-Québec and One Black Donor, One Life Saved will be present to discuss the importance of blood donation in the Black community.
